Our Story
Achieving dreams, like making wine, requires patience and persistence. This is the story of Creekcut.
For California entrepreneurs Jason and Chris Lamoreaux, a life in wine was a long time coming. With nothing handed to them, they bootstrapped several businesses from the ground up over a period of more than 30 years. And running noisily in the background for most of those years was the dream to start their own artisanal winery.
Circumstances of timing, opportunity and economics made them wonder if it might never happen. That is, until they alighted on a property that begged them to bet big: the future Creekcut estate in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles.
Everything they could have hoped for was present in these 20 acres. This was where they could follow their dream with Rhône-style wines. It was also where they could share their passion for hospitality, helping others create unforgettable moments while falling in love with Paso Robles wines.
Each Creekcut wine today stands as a testament to this journey, and to the terroir that became its destination. Welcome to the world of Creekcut.
Meet the team

Jason & Chris Lamoreaux
Owners
Chris and Jason’s story began in high school, grew through marriage and entrepreneurship, and eventually found its way to Paso Robles. Over three decades, they built people-first businesses focused on connection, culture, and community. Their love for wine was sparked during a trip to Napa in 1995 and deepened through years of vineyard travels around the world. With a shared dream to return to farming—honoring Chris’s multi-generational agricultural roots and Jason’s Bordeaux lineage—they searched for a place to grow something meaningful. They found it in Paso Robles’ Willow Creek District.
On their 30th wedding anniversary, Chris and Jason discovered a hidden gem on Vineyard Drive—twenty acres of calcareous-rich soil, ancient oaks, and a seasonal creek—perfect for their vision of Creekcut Winery.

Stephanie Robinson
Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager
Born and raised in Chicago, Stephanie found her passion for wine while studying abroad in Adelaide, South Australia during her time at Cal Poly. After earning a degree in Enology, she built a strong foundation working in both the cellar and hospitality sides of Paso Robles’ wine scene. Her love for adventure (and great wine) took her across the globe, completing harvests in New Zealand, the Northern Rhône, and back in South Australia.
A certified WSET Level 3 Sommelier, Stephanie brings deep wine knowledge to every experience she creates. In February 2025, she returned to the Central Coast to join Creekcut as Tasting Room and Wine Club Manager, bringing fresh energy, international experience, and a true love for sharing wine with others.

Brian & Natalie Brown
Consulting Winemakers
After graduating from UC Davis and doing the typical harvest hopping as a young intern, Brian started his career in Napa where he spent thirteen vintages crafting wines at family-run, estate managed, wineries. Natalie studied at Cal Poly SLO where she got a degree in food science but realized that course work was going to set her on a path of industrial food production, which didn’t exactly meet her life goals. After a friend’s suggestion to work a harvest during her junior year, Natalie realized that wine was a profession both mentally and physically rewarding. After just three vintages she was given the roll as winemaker for a boutique facility in Paso Robles.
Brian and Natalie crossed paths in the 2014 vintage. One thing led to another and after a beer and some tacos the two haven’t been apart since. Deciding to put down roots and make some wine they searched for land to call their own. The right place turned up at the right time and they now call the west-side of Paso home where they grow grapes and make wine.
